We calculate we’ve recycled over 235 million plastic bottles into eOlus™ fibres for some of our mattresses to date. “This ongoing desire to improve all areas of our business has resulted in our factory recently achieving the Global Recycled Standard. “Seeing exactly where the wool has come from gives us and our customer’s peace of mind that they are supporting responsible British farmers by purchasing a Hypnos mattress, where every step of the production journey is accounted for. Pioneer industry firsts, through partnerships with like-minded organisations like Red Tractor Food and Farming Standards and the Better Cotton Initiative, right through to our new eco-packaging. “At Hypnos, we’re committed to refining every aspect of our business to make sure it’s as ethical and as sustainable as it can possibly be, and the last year has been no exception. We pride ourselves on creating ethical beds made from natural and sustainable materials so it is great to be recognised by our industry for our ongoing efforts to create comfort with integrity - also to see sustainability valued more and more by our customers. Richard Naylor, Sustainable Development Director at Hypnos, comments on winning: “We’d like to thank the readers for this award. Hypnos is very proud to have been recognised for its continuous efforts to drive sustainability within every element of its business and be given Furniture News’ Best Sustainable Thinking Award.
